From Fragrance Brief to Finished Product

Define the Experience

Describe the product, its intended users and the fragrance you have in mind. Explain whether the scent should be subtle or more noticeable, and when the customer should experience it.

A reference sample or description of the desired fragrance character can help guide the initial discussion.

Review the Material and Process

Share the polymer specification, manufacturing method, processing conditions and any existing additives. Include the finished product’s colour, surface finish and other requirements.

Trial the Proposed Formulation

Evaluate representative parts or film using an agreed formulation. Record the material and processing details so that the results can be traced to the samples produced.

Assess Fragrance Over Time

Review samples after manufacture and under relevant storage and use conditions. Include the intended packaging, because the experience on opening may differ from the fragrance perceived during subsequent use.

Agree how samples will be compared and who will assess them. Fragrance preference and perceived intensity can vary between individuals.
