Addmaster will join forces with UK specialist hygienic cleaning tool and shadow board manufacturer Hillbrush and Christyens Food Hygiene to offer a Society of Food Hygiene and Technology (SOFHT) technical briefing to food industry professionals in May.
Technical experts from the three companies will be taking delegates through the fundamental requirements of cleaning to ensure delivery of safe food, reviewing some of the latest cleaning technologies, science and legislation as well going ‘back to basics’ on good cleaning practices.
Paul Morris, Addmaster Founder and CEO, will focus on Targeted Hygiene in his presentation. Paul will look at the importance of breaking the chain of infection, the difference between clean surfaces and hygienic surfaces and how new technology can help the food industry.
Catherine Watkinson, Global Technical Hygiene Specialist at Hillbrush will look at the different methods required for compliant cleaning, from colour coding to the correct choice and storage of equipment. Catherine will also consider the impact of the new BRC Global standard version 8 on cleaning regimes.
Peter Littleton, SOFHT Vice Chair and Technical Director at Christyens Food Hygiene, manufacturer of high-quality cleaning chemicals and solutions will give an overview of the latest innovations and cutting edge cleaning technologies as well as the new legislation being introduced to ensure the safe production of food and beverage products.
As Supporting Company Members, Addmaster and Hillbrush are involved in providing expert advice on cleaning and hygiene to SOFHT’s members through training and events, conferences and technical committees.
The event, which runs from 9.30-12.30pm on Wednesday 1st May is being held at Hillbrush’s state of the art brush production facility in Mere, Wiltshire and is free to SOFHT members and just £50 for non-members.
