BYTEC Nominated for BEEA Awards
Addmaster customer BYTEC Medical has been nominated in the prestigious British Engineering Excellence Awards (BEEA) for Mechanical Product of the Year.
The BEEA demonstrate and promote the extremely high quality of engineering and design in the UK. The awards have an emphasis on innovation and effectiveness which allows all UK companies, big and small to compete at an equal level. The BEEA is seen as a benchmark worldwide for engineering excellence.
The product put forward by BYTEC for the award is their SmartCart™ mobile computer platform for use in hospitals and medical environments. The SmartCart is designed to provide a mobile power solution and computing platform in a convenient and robust chassis. With up to 9hrs battery runtime the SmartCart will power an on-board PC, has mounting options for up to 2 displays and has a motorised height adjustable work surface.
All painted surfaces on the SmartCart incorporate Addmaster’s Biomaster® additive; an effective measure for infection control on a large device designed to be regularly moved and used by multiple operators.
Biomaster® is a silver based additive that stops the growth of bacteria such as MRSA and E.Coli on the SmartCarts surfaces by up to 99.9% preventing cross contamination.
BYTEC will be exhibiting their innovative range of products at this year’s Medica as well, including the SmartCart™ and Medi-Key™ ranges.
