Biomaster Ready For BPD/BPR
31 Jan 2012
Biomaster pre-registered all of their antimicrobial additives with the BPD in 2003 and are working hard to ensure all customers receive a seamless transition to the final stage of 2013.
Having already been actively involved in supporting the dossier for antimicrobial silver, which is being submitted later this year, we are now finalising the data required for the next deadline.
Already Lesley Taylor, the Addmaster resident Microbiologist whose full time role as Regulatory and Technical Manager is advising customers on the latest developments on the BPD/BPR. Lesley has been playing a pro-active role in supporting customers through this important regulatory change.
Addmaster see the BPR as a positive step forwards for the industry and a useful tool for customers. The forthcoming regulations will remove unregulated biocides from the market and stop the proliferation of unfounded claims. The BPR will give customers the confidence to partner with compliant, registered suppliers.
This regulatory support is given free of charge to all Biomaster customers, to discuss the BPR and what it may mean to you and your products please call us on: 01785 225656
ABOUT THE BPD/BPR
The Biocidal Products Regulations (BPR) and Biocidal Products Regulations (Northern Ireland) (BPR NI) implement a European-wide scheme (the Biocidal Products Directive 98/8/EEC) that covers a very diverse group of products, including disinfectants, pest control products and preservatives.
